Adam Focht is said to have been a Civil War veteran. I have been unable to confirm this and would like to so his name might be included on a monument to Civil War veterans buried in Stillwater OK.
Addam Focht was the son of Lewis Focht. In 1850 he was living with his parents in Auglaize Co. OH. In 1860 and 1870 they were in Fremont Co. IA. By 1880 he had moved with wife and family to NE, and in 1900-10 he is in Stillwater, Payne County OK. The 1910 census does NOT indicate military service. However, the American Legion post has him listed among names of Civil War veterans buried in Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater. Adam Focht died in 1926.
I would like to find out his Civil War service information.
