THE SIDNEY ARGUS-HERALD. June 13, 1946. "SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. R. H. MORRISON".--Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, June 7, at the Bartlett church, at 2:30 for Mrs. Lulu Morrison, conducted by Rev. J. W. Taenzler of Plattsmouth. Interment was in the Thurman cemetery.
Lulu Aitken, eldest daughter of Charles and Jane Aitken, was born October 4, 1888 on a farm near Bartlett. Here she grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage to R. H. Morrison of Bartlett August 1, 1908. They made their home near Bartlett until 1929 when they moved to Earlham, Iowa, and came back to Fremont county to farm near Randolph in 1931.
She united with the Christian church at Bartlett when a girl and was faithful to her church, attedning whenever opportunity was hers.
She passed away June 3rd at the Clarkson hospital at Omaha at the age of 57years and eight months.
She is survived by her husband, at home; one son, Gerald, of Springfield, Ill.; one grandson.; her parents, Rev. and Mrs. Aitken of Bartlett; three sisters, Mrs. Beula Schade of Plattsmouth, Mrs. Cecil Johnson of Omaha and Mrs. Emma Shaw of California; two brothers, Walter W., of Des Moines, and Milo, of Anderson; also several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Music for the services was furnished by the Blackwood quarter of KMA. Bearers were Clarence Potter of Omaha, George Potter and Charlie Potter of Bartlett, Wendell Miller, Paul Blezek and Maurice McCartney, of Randolph. Mrs. Jean Blezek, Mrs. Anita Scott, Mrs. Florence Freeman and Mrs. Veldyne Hazelwood were in charge of flowers.
