THE FREMONT COUNTY HERALD. April 2, 1909. "Fremont county Citizen Dead".--Con Ryan, Sr., one of the old-time residents of Monroe township and well known over that community, died at his home im Omaha last Saturday night from cancer.

He was one of the early settlers of Monroe township having come there about thirty years ago where he settled upon farm which was his home until about four years ago when he moved to Omaha.

The cancer which caused his death developed a little over a year ago and there has been two operations performed but these only resulted in relief--not a cure.
