Will post a few items and try to find documentation if needed.

My records show David married Margat McCready who was the daughter of William McCready and Katherine nee Copple. William 1806 - 30 Nov 1866 and Catherine 4 Mar 1813 - 12 Feb 1880 are both buried in Guilliams Cem, Craig, Holt, Missouri. Someplace I have pictures of the headstones.

I talked several times with Lizzie Brooks----(granddaughter of Henry and Catherine). Catherine was "Pennsylvania/Dutch" and born in Ky. Couldn't remember the town. Later said it was Louisville. Was in the Blue Grass country. Catherine had a brother who came to visit in Mo and thought his name was Ely. He came from Ky and thinks he may have run a store. He always brought bolts of cloth and he may have been a tailor. Catherine was also trained as a tailor!! Catherine also went to Ky to visit and it was said that Ely had "big money". Always brought gifts for everyone.

Malinda Lindy Garren married Mathew Smith and they had 4 children. In my opionion, these are their children and shown as living with Noah and Catherine on the 1860 census. I have a note that Malinda died in childbirth which would have been just prior to 1850.

"Reunion of the Hill's and their decendents at Areta (Gray) Davis's home in Spirit Lake, Idaho" indicates Mathew Smith, his daughter Mary Ann and his two brothers, Dan Smith and Criss Smith, with their wives and children traveled the Oregon trail in 1851 or 1852. Mathew's wife, Malinda, had died in Iowa about 1850. During the journey the wife of both Dan and Criss died with Cholera. One of Dan's sons also died along with many others on the trail.

Note also states the brothers all started for Oregon from Iowa. A searth of Iowa census records may find Dan, Criss and/or Mathew in another household from Noah. In addition Oregon records may provide more detailed Smith date after 1895 (death of Mathew) for Dan and Criss.

Census records indicate this may have been 1861 and not 1851. See census notes of Malinda where Mary Ann is still in Iowa during 1856 and 1860 census's.

Note also states Mathew Smith, born in Ohio, and moved to Iowa with his great-grandmother. There he met and married Lindy Gurren etc. In or around 1851 or 1852 (probably 1861-2) Mathew Smith...Mary Ann...with his two brothers ...Dan and Criss...with families left for Oregon. Mathew left his other children, Sarah and Dave with...grandparents Noah and Catherine (Copple) Gurren and great grandmother Mary Copple!!!!! This would be Mary Ann (Wright) Copple !!! It appears that Mary Ann Smith may have been named after her!!!!

My records show Mary Copple died after 1813 (birth of a child) and these notes would indicate she died after 1850-1860 in Iowa !!!! CHECK 1850 CENSUS FOR RECORD OF MARY ANN COPPLE? Now appears she may have died in Iowa after 1850????

Would like date and place of death for Noah Garren and Catherine nee Copple if someone has them. Other info would be appreciated.
