THE SIDNEY ARGUS - HERALD. January 9, 1941. "Hold Family Reunion".-- The Clyde R. McElroy family enjoyed their first family reunion in seven years, when their son, Clark, came home on leave of absence from Honolulu, where he has been stationed the past year. Clark enlisted in the Marines almost three years ago and this was his first visit home.

Mr. and Mrs. McElroy are the parents of ten children. John, Mrs. Grace Foster, Perry, William, Bobby, Ralph, Alice and Wendell, all of Percival (the last six being at home), and Ray of Randolph, and Clark.

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McElroy reside on the M. H. McElroy estate, this land having been received from the government about the year 1855 and it has since that time been farmed by the McElroy's.

Mr. and Mrs. M. H. McElroy lived to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. They were the parents of eight children, six of whom are still living: Amos, Edd, Clyde, of Percival; Mrs. Alice Binney of Temple City, Calif.; Mrs. Flo Williams, Tulsa, Okla.; James of Mexico, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. M. H. McElroy knew and bore many hardships while rearing their family, but were always faithful and did unto others as they wished to be done by, and therefore raised a family worthy of honor and this tradition is today being carried on by their children and grandchildren, and our community will join in wishing the C. R. McElroy family many more happy gatherings.
