Surnames: CURTIS-POWERS

I am seeking the marriage of Unk Curtis to M Julia (Maryann Julia) Powers
married before 1876. He died before 1880 census. I was told that there was a
Curtis family in Fremont Co from which Julia's brother, Marion Johnson Powers
bought some land. I can not find that record. Unk Curtis and Julia had one
child, a son, Marion Johnson Powers b 19 Aug 1876 in Iowa. Thanks for any help
