Charlotte A. Demmon, 68, of Ottumwa, formerly of Conrad, died Sunday, April
23, 2000 of cardiac arrest; survivors include two sons, James R. of Ottumwa
and Wesley L. of Dewitt; a daughter, Jennifer J. Lucas of Des Moines; five
grandchildren; and a brother, Robert N. Coulter of Conrad; she was preceded
in death by a sister; services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Conrad United
Methodist Church, with burial in Conrad Cemetery; friends may call from
2 to 8 p.m. today at Johnston Funeral Home, Conrad, with family present
from 6 to 8 p.m.; a memorial fund is being established; Mrs. Demmon was
a patient relations coordinator at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.
