Hello,
I am researching my Smith family (daunting task). Charles Smith (b)
married Estelle Holliday (daughter of James Holliday--teacher, justice
of the peace Guthrie Co.) in1874 in Guthrie Co. Their son James William
was born in Guthrie Center. Charles was born in England and came to
America with his family as a child (naturalized 1855 per census). I
would like to find out about his family---I can't find any leads. I
don't know where they arrived in American but they were in Iowa soon
after they arrived. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
