Still searching for information on Karl/Carl & Millie OLSEN/OLSON.
I received a new bit of information from my 86-yr. old grandmother, Karl/Carl's only child... She recently remembered that Karl/Carl had a cousin that was a secretary for King Haaken [sp?] in the early 1900's. Of course she doesn't know the name of this cousin since her father always referred to family members as "Aunt..." and "Uncle...".
In regards to Millie's information, she was b. in Iowa, approx. 1884. Both of her parents were born in Norway. I don't know their names. There was a "J P OLSEN/OLSON" that gave testimony at Karl/Carl & Millie's wedding on 13 Sep 1902 in Webster City, Hamilton Co., Iowa. I don't know the connection with this person, or if they were male or female.
Also, I have been given some information that shows that Karl/Carl's family may have been living in the Tysvaer, Haugesund, Rogaland region when Karl/Carl left for the US in approx. 1891. It isn't proven, but seems to be a strong possibility.
If anyone has any information on this line or some connection, please contact me at: or . Please disregard the previous email addresses given and use these instead. Thank you so very much.
