HARLAN - Matilda "Tillie" Catherine Kenkel, 95, of Earling died Dec. 17 at
Myrtue Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Woonsocket, S.D. She was a homemaker and a member of St.
Joseph's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Kenkel was preceded in death by her husband, Al, on Jan. 7, 1989.

Survivors include one daughter, Delores Rasmussen, and husband, Karl, of
Cheney, Kan.; six sons, Merle and wife, Theresa, of Missouri Valley, Jim and
wife, Dar, and Max and wife, Dorothy, all of Earling, Lee and wife, Alice, of
Harlan, Ron and wife, Barb, of Dow City and Vern and wife, Thelma, of
Denison; two sisters, Martha Koesters and husband, Fred, of Earling and
Margaret Sweeney of Woonsocket; 30 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with
the Rev. Michael Berner officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery
in Earling. Pauley Funeral Home in Harlan is in charge of arrangements.
