Levern E. Rexroat

OMAHA - The funeral for Levern Edward "Rex" Rexroat, 75, of Omaha will be
Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Assumption Church in Omaha.

Mr. Rexroat died Jan. 5 at home. He was born in Pacific Junction. He farmed
in the Glenwood area until serving in the military during World War II in the
Army's First Cavalry Division. He was sent to China, Burma and India where
his squad was charged with training Chinese and Indian soldiers for combat.
After discharge from the service, he moved to Omaha in 1948 and began his
printing career. He was one of the first press operators to run the first
10-color printing press at Nebraska Farmer Printers in Lincoln, Neb. He moved
back to Omaha from Lincoln and became a route salesman in the Council Bluffs
area for Guys' Potato Chips Co.

Mr. Rexroat was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, in 1993. They were
married 44 years.

Survivors include three daughters, Kathy, Stephanie and Lorraine all of
Omaha; two sons, Michael of Plattsmouth, Neb., and Rick of Wichita, Kan.;
four sisters, Goldie Culley of Tabor, Elnora Wright of Atlantic, Margaret
Picker of Bakersfield, Calif., and Joetta Hadden of Council Bluffs; one
brother, Clyde Grafton Rexroat, of Missouri Valley; 17 grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Brewer Korisko
Funeral Home in Omaha. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Omaha.
