I am a Darting descendent with alot of Darting records. There were 3 Sarah Dartings living in Harrison County at one time. Sarah Orpha Darting being the youngest so assume the family used the middle name Orpha to avoid confusion (?). Sarah Orpha Darting was the daughter of John Henry and Emily Elizabeth Frazier Darting. John Henry was the son of Isaac and Sarah Bolin Darting. My records do not show her being married to J.W. Nuzum/Nusum. George and Sarah Legan had 3 children Zella, Harry Clayton and Claire Thomas. George Thomas Legan died young of stomach cancer and Sarah Orpha Darting Legan married James Hanson Moos on June 8, 1899 in Omaha, NE and they had 4 children Ruth Lulu, Alberta Emily, John Albert and Rubye Marie. James and Orpha (Sarah Orpha) died in Tacoma, WA (1935, 1937) and are buried at Mt. View Cemetery. I would be happy to share the gedcom files I have on this family. ll go to the Logan courthouse to view the marriage record for an Orpha Legan and J.W. Nuzum. We have no other record of another Orpha in the family record index that I have. Interesting mystery.
