Mrs. Jacob Fuhs rites are today
Mrs. Jacob Fuhs, 80, Portsmouth, died Friday, April 23 at Little Flower
Haven, Earling. Services are today (Monday) at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's
Church, Portsmouth and burial is in the cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Tony (Rosalia) Kaufman, Westphalia; a
brother, Matt Trierweiler, Milwaukee, Wis.; two sisters, Susan (Mrs. Frank
Huebner), Portsmouth and Molley (Mrs. Ray Wormley), Alahanbra, Calif.; three
grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Margaret married Jacob John FUHS, son of John FUHS and Eva REINIG, on 25 Sep
1912 in Immaculate Conception, Bonesteel, SD. Jacob was born 21 Oct 1886 in
Harper, Keokuk Co., IA. He died 14 Oct 1966 in Little Flower Haven, Earling,
Shelby Co., IA and was buried 17 Oct 1966 in St. Mary's Cemetery,
Portsmouth, Shelby Co., IA (gravesite: IV/1/44).

--Area Deaths--
Jake Fuhs, Portsmouth, died at Little Flower
Earling - Jake Fuhs, 79, Portsmouth, died Friday afternoon at Little Flower
Haven retirement home here. Services were pending with Pauley Funeral Home
in Harlan.
His survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Tony Kaufman of Earling, three
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Portsmouth Items
Relatives and friends from here attended the wake of Jake Fuhs at the Pauley
Funeral Home in Harlan Saturday and Sunday, also the funeral mass here at
Our Lady of Fatima church Monday at 10 a.m. Mr. Fuhs died Friday at Little
Flower Haven where he and his wife have been residents for several months,
being former residents of here.
