Addison W. "Mac" Mahoney, 82, of Council Bluffs died May 13 at Jennie
Edmundson Hospital.

He was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Harrison County to Alfred and Elsie (Geith)
Mahoney. He previously lived in Magnolia, graduating from Magnolia High
School in 1938. He was a laborer at Vickers from 1968 until his retirement in
1986. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Mr. Mahoney and his wife, Edna, were married 34 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include daughter, Jacqueline Stout, and
husband, Brad, of Savannah, Ga.; son, Larry Mahoney, and wife, Emily, of
Honey Creek; stepdaughter, Shirley Steel, and husband, Gene, of Phoenix;
stepsons, Kennth Sheridan and wife, Paulette, and Patrick Sheridan and wife,
Pamela, all of Council Bluffs; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
and sister, Beulah Jurgensen, of Council Bluffs.

Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring
Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with
the Rev. Gus George of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
