Richard J. DeBolt, 38 March 05, 2004

Richard J. DeBolt, 38, Council Bluffs, died Feb. 15 in the Bluffs. He was born Dec. 20, 1965, in Omaha to Leon A. and Bonnie (Robinson) DeBolt. He lived in Council Bluffs for 16 years. Richard graduated from Tri-Center High School, Neola. He was in the Army National Guard and U.S. Navy. He was a welder for Marsh Machine Shop, Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leon A., in 1994.
Survivors include his daughter, Natasha Skiles, and her husband, Michael, Ankeny; son, Thadeus Jacob DeBolt, Shelby; mother, Bonnie DeBolt, Sioux Falls, S.D.; grandson, Aiden Skiles; sisters, Georgia Hammitt and her husband, Roger, Logan; Annette Larison, Tuscumbia, Ala.; Lori Jorgenson and her husband, Mike, Sioux Falls, S.D.; brothers, Larry Kalkowski and his wife, Judy, Lincoln, Neb.; Robert DeBolt and wife, Kelly, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dwight DeBolt of Logan and David DeBolt and his wife, Sharon, Magnolia; special friend, Linda Ziegler, Council Bluffs; and nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 19 at St. Patrick's Church, Neola. Interment was in the Silver City Cemetery in Mills County. Memorials may be given to the family.
Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home, Council Bluffs, was in charge of arrangements.
