Icabod McCord, living near Dunlap, recently sold some hogs receiving $1,700 for them. The money was kept at home and some scheming thief heard of it. So he caught fire some haystacks belonging to Mr. McCord, and while he and his family were out trying to prevent the fire from sprading, the thief entered the house and with an ax smashed the bureau and scattered the household goods in every direction. Be he didnt get any money, for Mr. McCord had deposited it in a dunlap bank the evening previous.
