Martha M. Jasperson, 87, Missouri Valley, died March 20 at Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital, Missouri Valley. Martha was born Sept. 10, 1917 in Modale to Sigred and Alta (Wells) Nelson. She attended school in Omaha and graduated from South High School in Omaha. Martha was married to Lawrence Jasperson in 1936 in Grand Island, Neb. She worked at Brandeis Stores and was a dental assistant for several years. A short time after Lawrence's death in 1969, Martha moved to Pisgah with her son. She enjoyed reading, birds and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronald; three sisters; four brothers; son-in-law, Lou Noble; daughter-in-law, Allison Schleich-Jasperson; and great-grandson, Christopher Keith Corzine. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Noble, Diamond Bar, Calif.; son, Lawrence Jasperson, Omaha; sister, Fran Hogan, Stillwater, Okla.; brother, Richard Nelson, Irwin; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand!
child. Funeral Services were held March 24 at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home, Missouri Valley, Evangelist John Lizer, officiant. Organist was genelle Riesland, vocalist was Brenda Marshall. Casket bearers were: Matt Nelson, Drew Sigler, Chris Nelson, Michael Nelson, Eric Nelson, Jason Smith, Steve Nelson, and Nathan Hussing.
Interment was in the Magnolia Cemetery.
