Charles W. Hite Sr., age 72, of Omaha, died July 14, 2005, at NHS Clarkson
Hospital in Omaha.

He was born October 19, 1932 in Woodbine, Iowa to Leo C. and Grace (Hunter)
Hite, Sr. He was in the US Army and served in the Korean Conflict receiving
the Purple Heart. He worked as a Brakeman for the Union Pacific Railroad for
37 years, retiring in 1989. He was a
member of the United Transportation Union, Louisville, Neb. and Council
Bluffs American Legion Posts.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly L. Hite, on June 26, 2004.

Survivors include daughter, Beverly Sue Siquig, of Wahiawa, Hawaii; sons,
Charles Hite, Jr. and wife, Cheryl, of Cheyenne, Wyo., Terry Hite and wife,
Dianna, of Omaha; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty
Harrington and husband, George, of Phoenix, Ariz., Grace Terry and husband, Gary, of
Shawnee, Okla., Shirley Depa and hus-
band, Jake, of Dearborn, Mich., Elnora Drake and husband, Fred, of Council
Bluffs,
Harriett Davis of Windsor, Colo.; brother, Robert Hite of San Francisco,
Calif.; many
nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, 6:30 - 8pm at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring
Funeral
Home. Service will be Wednesday, 1pm, at the Funeral Home. Reverend Denise
Aherns will officiate. Military Honors tendered by American Legion Post #2.

Private internment will be Friday at Oak Hills Cemetery in Plattsmouth, Neb.

Memorials may be offered to the American Heart Association or Salvation
Army.
