John Edward Littlewood, 65, Council Bluffs, died Oct. 7 at his home. John was born Feb. 10, 1940 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland to William and Isobel Littlewood. He loved reading, spending time with family and his Scottish heritage. John, a former resident of Missouri Valley, was a former travel agent at American Travel in Missouri Valley, and for a time was a columnist for The Times-News. He was preceded to death by his parents, and sister, Marjorie. Survivors include: his wife of 12 years Marjorie (Fox-Royer); children, Pamela Littlewood(Errin), Kathy Barnard(Larry), Margaret Zalabak(Pete), Jennifer Kimber(Tim) and Erin Reel(Fletcher); grandchildren, Stryder Zalabak, Kelly and Kristin Barnard, John and Andy Reel and Emily Kimber; nephew; William Woolard, all of California. John's extended family includes: Julie Preston(David), Omaha; Mark Royer and special friend, Nancy Wilson and their families; Joslynn Brown, Jessa Royer, Peyton, DJ, Nate and Michael Preston; many Nieces an!
d nephews, including Ryan Garrison and Renee Garrison, Council Bluffs; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lynda Fox(Frank Garrison), Council Bluffs, Marilyn(Lonnie) Slavik of Tennessee, Jerry (Barbara) Fox and Max(Norma) Fox of California. A gathering of family and friends will be held today (Wednesday, Oct. 12) from 5 until 7 p.m., with a Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m., at Henry-Livingston Funeral Chapel, Council Bluffs. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
