Marjorie Claire Gillespie
(Swanger), age 70, passed
away Dec. 8, 2005 at her
home in Honey Creek.


Marjorie was born Sept.
26, 1935 in Blencoe, to Waldo
and Geneva (Hickman)
Swanger. Marjorie attended
Loveland School and graduated
from Missouri Valley High
School. Marjorie married
Albert H. Gillespie on Nov. 19,
1954. She worked for 20
years at the Harrison County
Fair. She enjoyed many types
of arts, crafts, and traveling.
Marjorie is preceded in
death by her parents, sister
and two brothers.

Marjorie will be sadly
missed by her husband, Al
Gillespie; sons, Gail and wife,
Renee of Cali., Robert and
wife, Laura of Colo., and
Martin Gillespie of Crescent;
seven grandchildren; six
great-grandchildren; sisters,
Anita Cates, Karen and
husband, Karl Holst and Donna
and husband, Doug Short;
brother, Ronnie and wife,
Charlene Swanger all of
Missouri Valley; and a host of
nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be
held at 2 p.m. on Monday at
the Church of Christ of
Missouri Valley (119 N. 4th St.).
Private Family Inurement.
Memorials can be made to
the American Diabetes
Association.
