Duane A. Layton, age 81 of Modale, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2006, at Veterans Hospital in Omaha, NE.


Survivors include daughters, Loraina and husband Paul Groth of Thayer, Iowa, Peggy and husband Patrick Hill of Modale; son, Kenneth and wife Julie Layton of Missouri Valley, Iowa; sister, Therma Kougias of Missouri Valley; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday with a a Prayer Service at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Calhoun Cemetery in Missouri Valley.
