Kirk J. Kolhof, Sr., 47, Missouri Valley, died Dec. 27 at Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital, Missouri Valley. He was the owner of the Tamarack Bowl in Missouri Valley. Kirk was born Jan. 3, 1958 in Council Bluffs to Beverly (Ronk) and William Blanchard. He attended school in Council Bluffs and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the Class of 1976. Kirk married Kim Lauver, Aug. 22, 1976, in Council Bluffs. He owned and operated the Tamarack Bowl in Missouri Valley for 10 years. Kirk loved spending time with his grandson and boating. Survivors include his wife, Kim; son, Kirk, Jr. and his wife, Jeanette; daughter, Kandi Wallis and her husband, Eric; and grandson, Calvin Wallis, all of Missouri Valley; parents, William and Beverly Blanchard, Council Bluffs; sister, Jodi Schnuelle, Blair; brothers, Kraig Kolhof and his wife, Linda, Council Bluffs; Kerry Kolhof and his wife, Mireille, Fort Irwin, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services were!
held Dec. 31 at Missouri Valley High School Gymnasium, Pastor Robert H. Kruempel of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, Missouri Valley, officiant. Honorary bearer was Mike Carroll.
Casket bearers were: Kev Grant, Chris Rogers, Randy Fetter, John Fitch, Tim Cooper, and Shannon Michael.
Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery near Missouri Valley. Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home, Missouri Valley, was in charge of arrangements.
