Funeral Serives Held Here for Della Rannells

Funeral services were held at the Dunlap United Meothidst Church Friday, August 29, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. for Mrs. Edgar A. Rannells Sr. Mrs. Rannells passed away Wednesday, August 27th in Onawa, Iowa where she has resided the last five years. Until that time she had spent her life in the Dunlap community. Rev. Raymond D. Moore, officiated at the services. Music was furnished by Mrs. Robert Mitchell, organist. Pallbearers were William Rannells, Francis Rannells, Rick Rannells, Art Roberts, John Weber and Orville Hicks. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home. Burial was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Della Fox Rannells, daughter of Samuel D. Fox and Ann Dabelstein Fox was born June 10, 1889 in Dunlap. She received her education in the Dunlap schools and after graduation was employed several years in the Williams Jewelry Store in Dunlap. May 24, 1916, she was united in marriage to Edgar A. Rannells Sr. of Dunlap. They were the parents of four children, Edgar A. Rannells Jr., of Dunlap, Dorothy (Mrs. E. R. Bridgford of Onawa; Cecil (Mrs. Anthony) Cifka of Denver, Colo., and Paul Rannells of Cedar Falls. Mrs. Rannells was an active member of the Dunlap United Methodist Church as long as her health permitted. She was virtually interested in her family, friends, music, literature, flowers and current work events until the end. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960 and a grandaughter, Karen in 1966. Her survivors include her four children, four grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. H. L. Haight of Woodbine, her nieces and nephews, other relatives and devoted friends.!
