Colleen M. Hopkins, 51, Missouri Valley, died March 28 at Methodist Hospital, Omaha. Colleen was born Aug. 7, 1954 in Council Bluffs, to Eugene V. and Vera (Baldwin) Squier. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1972 and married Dennis Hopkins, June 24, 1974 in Maryville, Mo. To this union, two sons were born. Colleen lived most of her life in Missouri Valley. She managed Subway Restaurant in Missouri Valley and in her spare time, she enjoyed genealogy and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Cheryl; and brother, Michael.
Colleen is survived by her husband, Dennis; sons, Chad and Terrance, all of Missouri Valley; and three grandchildren, Eric Hopkins, Zachary Hopkins and Shannon Hopkins.
Visitation with family will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today (Friday, March 31) at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home, Missouri Valley. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 1, at the Church of Christ, Missouri Valley, Pastor Nathan Slaughter, officiant. Organist will be James Doty, vocalist will be Brenda Marshall. Casket Bearers will be: Toby Jacobsen, Denton Peasley, Mike Dems, Steve Shannon, Jeremy McCall, and Jeremy Nuzum. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, Missouri Valley.
The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Church of Christ following the committal service.
