Subject: Henry County Tippecanoe Twp. Lee Families
Date: Fri, 22 Jan 1999 12:01:28 EST
I am researching the Lee families that were in the Tippecanoe Township of
Henry County Iowa. I Would love to hear from anyone who has information of
Joseph L Lee b. 1794 E. Tennessee d. 1852 Henry Co., Ia. His wife Mary
Mayberry b. 1797 d. 1860 also Henry Co., Ia. and any of their children or
ancestors.
Children:
Harrison Lee b. 1821 Indiana m. Martha A Parish--Children are Martin, Sarah A,
Pleasant, Winfield S.
John Lee b. 1823
William Lee b. 1825 m. Mary Gillenwaters?
Abigail Lee b. 1826
*Pleasant Lee b. 1828 Indiana d. 1865 Henry Co., Ia. m. Mary Lee b. 1841
Henry Co. Ia.d/o Martin Lee and Lyia Ann Riley Lee. These are my GG
Grandparents. Children are Jonathan William, Perry David, Melissa Rebecca.
Joseph Lee b. 1831 Indiana m. Mary Lee children are Alice N., Martin E., Anna
Belle, Edward Benton.
Mary Jane Lee b. 1833 m. William Stockdick--Children are Mark and Perry.
Mark Lee b. 1834 m. Easther Wood 1862
Eastman b. 1840 d. 1859 Henry Co., Ia.
I would also like to know where my G Grandfather Perry David Lee (b. 1861
Washington Iowa d. 1934 Cantril, Van Buren Co., Iowa)received his veterinary
training. Could it possibly have been Iowa Wesleyan, or did he have to go
away from home for this type of training. His obituary states he was not in
Iowa for 4 years of his life and I am wondering if this is why, but where was
he?
If anyone has any information about this family or are relatives, I would be
very happy to hear from you. Thank you very much.
