COUNTY AND NEIGHBORING NEWS

SALEM. [Henry Co.]
From the News- Prof. Morgan and family will spend the summer in
Indiana...Miss Etta Triplett is visiting in Illinois...Miss Birdie Townsend
is visiting in St. Louis...Miss Allie and Clara Cooper will leave this week
for Nebraska to visit friends...Lester Bailey was kicked in the side by a
horse last week and seriously injured...The barn of M.F. Crew was struck by
lightning week before last and two horses and sheep were killed. All his
grain and wool were destroyed also...Misses Vic. and Max Nona started this
week for Washington county, Pa., where they will spend the summer with their
grandfather...Mrs. Wm. Kittle has returned from Illinois.
