929 line 6 is definitely MILISON age 6 male.
929 line 30 is definitely CULISON.
875 is definitely OR at the beginning and could be ORSBON and if
stretching
it a bit ORSBORN which would make N letter incomplete at end.

: I will recheck these surnames as they appeared on the census.
Transcriptions
: are supposed to follow the censuses exactly whether we know the names
are
: misspelled or not. I know the VANDORUN was spelled like that on the
census
: as my ggg grandmother was Eleanor Van Dorin as you can see from my
original
: post. Also, Trueblood was spelled that way on the census. I am
familiar
with
: than surname also as I believe it was Quaker as were my Smiths. And
Culison
: was also spelled as transcribed as I am very familiar with Irish
surnames
: with my Irish in Iowa project.
:
:
: Should corrections need to be issued for the others I shall do so.

:
:
: : Cathy,
: :
: : Thanks for you contribution. The 1856 State of Iowa census has much
: : more information about agriculture than the federal census.
: :
: : I see several surname that you probably weren't able to read off the
: : microfilm correctly. On the other hand, it could be that the
enumerator
: : was severely spelling challenged.
: :
: : 1. Page 875, Lines 25-32, the surname should be Osborn rather than
Orshon
: : 2. Page 929, Line 9, the first name should be Millicent rather than
: Milison
: : 3. Page 929, Line 30, the surname should be Cullison rather than
Culison
: : 4. Page 924, Lines 26-30, the surname Vandorun should be Van Dorin
or
: : Van Doren (I have seen both used for this family)
: : 5. .The Tureblood surname is spelled Treublood and Trewblood in
several
: : places.
: :
: : Thanks again for your efforts.
