Hi Monica, I'm John Robert Aggson from Kansas. I have an Uncle Donald in California who is a member of the Mormon Church. A deceased Uncle Bob who lived in Oregon. My mother was Mary Jean Aggson. My grandfather Aggson lived in Eugene Springfield, Oregon and owned "Good Deal Metal Products" and made wood stoves and was an inventor. I had an Aunt Bonnie and Rene. Rene once told me the name Aggson was of Norweigan descent. Uncle Donald's Mormons traced it to 3 Aggson brothers who came from Germany in the 1850's through France to America. In my own studies of history I was reading through the writings of "Saxo Grammaticus" the Danish historian who lived in the 1100's and in the opening paragraph to his book he spoke of his contemporary historian from the Danish Vikings by the name of Sven Aegeson, or known in the proper Latin name of the time of Sueno Aggonis. The Danish Vikings had three main large farming communities and fortresses in the earlier times, with one b!
y the name of "Aggersburg." So I feel certain that the name "Aggson" comes from this line somehow. I have a daughter "Ginger" who I think may have contacted you at one time. My wife and I have 7 children and 15 Grandchildren. We have a son and daughter (John Jr. and Rosa linda, who are missionaries in India.) We are not Mormon, but just regular believers ...a sort of mix of Baptist / with Assembly of God, if that's possible!? Ha! We actually became Christians in the Hippy movement in the 70's. I have a number of Bible studies you can read out on the web on different websites. You can just do a google search on the name "John Aggson" and it will bring up my Son's outreach in India, "Hands that Help." and then usually the next one is a site called "tribulationcentral.com" that publishes some of my writings and research. Good talking to you. -John R. Aggson Sr.
