Hello.

I am looking for information on my Adams relatives.

Orson I. Adams moved to Jasper County prior to the 1860 Census. He was
born
January 18, 1834, probably in New York if we read the Census right, and his
wife Matilda Davis was born in Massachusetts.
Orson died 6-13-1910 in Jasper County, Iowa.

Orson was a math teacher in Hazel Dell Academy, and Mother understood that
this was in Ohio, but if so, that was also the name of the forerunner to
Newton High School in Jasper County. They didn't seem to keep track of
their
teachers. I've read info in the Public Library in Newton.

Orsons siblings were Oscar, Olmer or Omar, and Origen. We found Origen in
an
Ohio regiment in the Civil War, wounded at Atlanta, died and is buried at
Marietta, GA. (Widow Almira and daughter Lucy)

Do you have any suggestions as to how we can find his parents information
on-
line?

My grandfather (Orson's son) was Charles Francis Adams, born March 30, 1861
in
Ohio; lived and died in in 1935 inJasper County, Buena Vista Twp .

I don't seem to find a lot of time to work on this. We did join the Jasper
County Genealogy Society, and can go to their Library to research also.
