My name is Bill Shultz, and I just found your mailing list. As a form of
introduction, let me list the following information.

My Grandmother, Velva May Bartlett Shultz, was born in Buena Vista,
Jasper Co., Iowa on Jan 21, 1877. She died December 28, 1938, at Davenport,
IA. She married my Grandfather, Joshua William Shultz on December 14, 1898,
at Tipton, IA.

Her father, my great grandfather, was Cephus Howard Bartlett, born
October 26, 1840, at Boston, MA., died January 1, 1929, at Tipton, IA.

Her mother, my grandmother, was Martha Elizabeth Blackman Bartlett, born
October 9, 1840, at Peru, MA. She died September 19, 1915, at Tipton, IA.

I'm looking for copies of Velva May's birth records in Buena Vista and
any information that may be available about her parents. My research on this
branch of the Bartlett line stops with my great grandfather Cephus Howard, so
anything that would give me a clue would be helpful.
