I was drawn to both these surnames, but don't think there's as much of a
connection between our Carrs as there may be with the Murrays. Do you know
where your Murrays came from? I have an Elizabeth Murray who was born in
1823 in Ireland and married Alfred Baldwin who was born in England in 1822.
They married bef 1858 when their son George Robert Baldwin was born in
Toronto, Ontario, Canada. They settled in Jones Co., IA sometime before
1869 where their son Stephen Baldwin was born. They also had Essa Baldwin
born 1871 and Edwin or Edward Baldwin (not sure of birthdate).
Now my Carrs are related to my Brockman family. Julia A. Brockman (daughter
of Samuel and Annestar "Ann" Sims Brockman) married an Anderson B. Carr. I
know I also have two Carr brothers that married into a family involved with
my Frys of Johnson Co., IA, but I need to find that info for you before I
post it. I will post that shortly.
If there is any connection, please feel free to email or reply to this post.
I'd love to hear from you!
