A small world it is!!!
Ole Walt the John Deere Man... Wayne and I graduated together. Used to run around sometimes. Spent lots of afternoons on there farm by the Cedar River. Haven't talked to Wayne since we move to Phoenix. It was Wayne that took me to meet Reilly and see about the job!! Butchered hogs from time to time for Diane's dad. Reilly bought a old cow from Walt. Reilly went over in the evening to look at the cow and decide if he wanted to buy it. He wanted it to make sausage out of. We made Bologna, summer sausage, salami and wieners, oh to have some now. Walt took him in the basement first and treated Reilly to home made wine. Reilly had more to drink then he should and it was dark when they finally went out to buy the cow. When we butchered it it lost way more weight then it should have. When we weighed ever-thing back it was short well over 230 lbs. When Walt weighed the truck with the cow at the feed mill he stayed in the truck. When he unloaded the cow and went back to weigh again h!
e got out of the truck. His weight was included in the weight of the cow. Some one got one over on Reilly. I laughed about that several times.

Linny lived a mile behind us when we lived North of the tracks in Lisbon.Have a picture someplace of our son with his little girl. Jim Moore bought the locker from Hartung the year we moved to Phoenix. There was a period of time between my leaving Nov 1 1974 and when he was going to take possession of the locker so he was going to butcher for them. There were a couple times he came in and butchered with me. He tried to talk me into staying and working for him.

Harry
