My great grandfather, Arnold "Ira" Miller (b. 1847 in Ohio) and wife Ella V Armentrout Miller (1855, Cedar Co. Iowa) raised their family in Cedar Rapids in Linn Co. Sons Harry and Charles grew to maturity, and 2 sons died as children.
If you run across this family, please send me any info. I'm especially interested in learning parentage of Arnold. Maybe he had siblings in Cedar Rapids. I don't know why they moved there other than that reason.
Thanks, everyone. This is a great list!

Subject: [IALINN] Osborne's
Hi List,
I too am very happy this list has come alive. I wish all the lists would be as active as the Iowa List, maybe the Linn Co. one will start.
My interest is in the Osborne's who lived in Linn Co. in 1840's. I can't seem to find who Jerusha Osborne married, maybe she even died. Her father, Elisha Osborne, died or left the family and her mother, Sarah Haines Osborne married James Chambers around 1849. Jerusha was living with them on the 1860 Linn Co. census. I have lost her after this date. Has anyone come across her as being married or dieing?
Thank you,
Linda
