Noticed the Holcomb name before. There were Holcomb families in
Putnam co OH (NW corner) and I think some surrounding counties. I
don't off hand recall a Homer, but I'll check my PC sources. M Calvin

As to being secretive --- it may only be what my Father told me. They
worked from sun up to sun down and no one had time or energy to talk
about family. He did noteven know his gr grandfather's name . Maybe
that's all it was. For what its worth. MC
