The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, April 1, 1909

ELIJAH PERRY was a native of Pennsylvania, and was born in the year of 1828.
He died March 28th, 1909, aged 81 years. His death was due to the
infirmities of old age. He leaves a wife and several grown children to
mourn their loss.

Brief funeral services were held from the home, Tuesday afternoon, conducted
by Dr. Lathrop, and the remains taken to Belinda Wednesday, for interment.
