According to the 1942 obituary for his grandmother, Wilbur F. Davis (Uncle
Bud to us) was living in Des Moines. Does anyone know if there were City
Directories for the area in 1941-1943 and are they available? Uncle Bud was
living with his widowed mother in Winneshiek in 1933 and I know he enlisted
in World War II but don't know when or where. Lots of gaps in my info re:
his interesting life and I'd like to fill in as many as possible.
