Hi all,
I am researching the following in IA; Luft, Reutzel, Rhodes, Hayes, Bixler.
The Rhodes line went to Roseburg, OR temporarily 1895 to 1905 or so, then
back to IA. If anyone sees a connection, please contact me. I am especially
looking for any information on the RHODES line.

William Henry RHODES, b. Apr 1868, IL. Married Margaret Ann Hayes abt 1883,
probably IA. According to 1900 Census, Roseburg, OR, stated Father from NY,
mother from Scotland. His father was Erastus RHODES, b. NY, abt Sept 1848,
parents both from England according to 1900 OR census.
+ Margaret Ann HAYES, b. 08 Feb 1880, Wall Lake, Sac Co., IA, d. 01 Feb
1965, Spirit Lake, Sac Co., IA She was the daughter of Julius (Jules) Lee
HAYES, b. 09 Feb 1845, OH, d. 08 Mar 1888, Wall Lake, Sac Co., IA and Orpha
BIXLER, b. 1848, IA, who were married 04 Sept 1866, Andrew, Jackson Co., IA.
Orpha (Orphia) BIXLER was the daughter of Jefferson BIXLER, b. OH and Mary
Catherine Barnes (Jones). (They lived in Jackson Co.). Orpha Bixler HAYES
remarried Herman VOSS.

Children Of William & Margaret RHODES:
1) 1 child: b. btw 1883 - 1900; deceased as of 1900
2) Pearl RHODES, b. 27 Sept 1895, Wall Lake, IA, she married Henry Stephens
3) Alma RHODES, b. Nov. 1888, Wall Lake, IA, she married Clayton Dean
4) Ruby RHODES, b. 10 July 1901, Roseburg, OR, she married Fayne Haradon
5) William Henry RHODES, Jr., b. 07 Mar 1903, Roseburg, OR,
6) Margaret RHODES, b. 12 May 1905, Roseburg, OR, she married (1) Emery
Ogle, (2) Henry Anderson
7) Nedra RHODES, b. 20 Nov 1907, Wall Lake, Sac County, IA, d. 03 Dec
1982, Storm Lake, IA, buried Buena Vista Memorial Park, Storm Lake, IA. She
married (1) Arthur LUFT, 25 July 1923, Rockwell City, IA. He was born 23
Mar 1901, Sac County, IA, d. 21 Sept 1968, Storm Lake, IA, buried 24 Sept
1968, Buena Vista Memorial Park, Storm Lake, IA. Married (2) Howard Dean,
b. July 1903, d. 07 Apr 1972, married 06 Oct 1969. Arthur Luft was the son
of Peter Luft and Anna Reutzel.

If there is anyone in Buena Vista or Sac County that would like more
information on the family or other members of the RHODES children, let me
know. On most of the names, all I have is birth, marriage & death date, plus
children names. Maybe if the names are posted or listed in the Genealogical
Society Newsletter it might help others and someone might make a connection
that does not know of it now.
