Kathy,

I don't see a connection but from what you have stated I'm sure there must be
a connection. Even though the Stoltenberg surname is very common in that
part of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The Hoeck surname isn't as far as I
know very common so that is where I believe a connection could be possible.
The problem I have is I don't have much information on my Hoeck surname. My
Hinrich Stoltenberg married two Hoeck girls one named Katharina Hoeck born
Abt. 1794 and then he married Katharine Hoeck born Abt. 1798. Katharina's
parents were Hans Hoeck and Margaretha Kraft and Katharine Hoeck's parents
were Claus Hoeck and Anna Voge. Hinrich Stoltenberg was born 7 February 1780
in Fiefbergen, Holstein, Germany. Both of the marriages took place in
Schoenberg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Katharina died 4 December 1822
shortly after they were married which was on 22 September 1821. Well, that's
about all I have on the Hoeck's. Let me know what you think of all this.
