I've recently found my grandpa was Isaac Rideout:
born 12/25/1793 (probably Christening) in England. Died 4/19/1866 in US
(Probably Ohio - probably Massilon in Stark County)

Married Hannah Galpin in England

Hannah born 12/4/1798 died 5/2/1872

5 Children born in England:
James, Elizabeth, Thomas, Jane, William born 11/11/1828 Ashmore, Dorset,
England. Married Sarah M. Courser (1838-7/18/1872)
Children of William & Sarah: Mary 1857-1940, Horace 1858-1911, Loie G 1860-1879,
Evaline 1865-1940, Cecelia Edith???

5 children born in US to Isaac & Hannah:
Anna, Mary Anna, Margaret, Isaac G (b. 1839 Massilon, OH), Lorina?

Look like a match to someone in Scott County?

Jane was a sister of Elizabeth, brother of William who fathered Evaline
who is my grandmother. Evaline married Frederick Addison Adkins in Wood
County, Ohio. That is on IGI on familysearch.org. That is as far back as
I go with the Rideouts. I think my cousin Marian Cowell in Ohio did some
too.

Send me what you have on the Rideouts and Galpins. I am going to England
8/16 - 8/26. I would like to stand on the same ground, look a cemeteries,
etc.
