Surname: Stuhr
-------------------------

My 2nd great grandparents were Johann Peter Stuhr and Anna M. Carstensen.
His cemetery headstone reads "4/4/1817 zu TOLK in Schleswig, Deutschland
-- 7/20/1889 Minden" (Iowa). Her headstone reads "9/11/1819 zu TOLK in
Schleswig - 1/1/1894 Minden" (Iowa) They left Germany and came to America
in the 1860s, possibly in 1882. They had 8 children, 4 sons and 4 daughters.
I know of only three sons:

Johann Peter Stuhr (Jr.) b. 12 Jan 1844 Schleswig; arrived Davenport, Iowa,
USA on September 12, 1863, after year in St. Louis, came back to Davenport
and enlisted in Co B 8th IA Inf, came back to Scott County and farmed until
1875, when he moved to Pottawattamie Co.

Joachim Stuhr b. 21 Jul 1831 "Germany"; arrived in Iowa, USA in 1881

Henry J. Stuhr (my great grandfather, d. 15 Feb 1887 Rock Island Co IL)
m. Mary Heisler 31 Jan 1872 in Rock Island Co IL. They had daughter Anna
May (my grandmother) and son Henry b. 1880.

Any connection with David H. Stuhr?

Do we have any connections?
