Dixon is about 20 miles northwest of Davenport. Maysville is about half
way to Dixon on Route 130 (formerly 150). Plainview is the next small town
heading west after Maysville. I was looking through some of my IASCOTT
material over the weekend and came across an extensive list of Amity names
in the Scott County Farmers Directory of 1892. You can access the list via
rootsweb.com/~iascott/1892farm.txt. I printed the 36 page directory
because my Grandfather Patrick Flynn is listed under Allen's Grove. The
townships and towns are listed in the following order after Allen's Grove:
Amity, Big Rock, Blue Grass, Buffalo, Cadda, Davenport, et cetera. Have
fun!
