At the family residence in Rock Island Wednesday evening occurred the death
of Miss Clara ALLEN, the eleven year-old daughter of Mrs. Mary ALLEN, a
well-known resident of this city until a few months ago, when the family
removed to Rock Island. The deceased had been ill for about a month, the
fatal illness being typhoid fever. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's
church in Rock Island yesterday, with high mass, which was said by Rev.
MACKIN. The remains were interred in St. Marguerite's cemetery in this
city. The pall bearers were Irwin SHAUGHNESSY, Harry GERMIN, Tony FRIES,
and George BACKUS, of this city.
