Obituary

Samuel L. SWISHER, a well known citizen of Rock Island county died at his home in Coe township across the river Thursday evening after a lingering illness of several weeks duration. The deceased was born in Maryland in 1824 and settled in Rock Island county in 1855. Since 1873 he has resided in Coe township. He is survived by his wife and three children, two sons and a daughter. Mr. SWISHER was one of the most estimable and popular citizens of Rock Island county and his death will be generally regretted.
