I have here in NH in a probate file for a James Mclaughlin who died 1856 a reference to a piece of land in Iowa which reads " 40 acres of land in Iowa No. 31794 located on the N. W. quarter section of quarter of section 5 Township 79 Nos. of Range 3 East"
April 10 1856 (appr.) sale to Austin Corbin 40 acres land in Iowa on Township 79. I know he was in Davenport,Iowa as of 1856 Census.Can anyone find this deed if it still exists?Or can someone direct me to same. I cannot travel there myself. Would very much like a copy.I would pay copy costs.
