1870 Liberty Township, Scott County Iowa Census counts John Crawford, age 61 (about 1809), and wife Mary, age 69 (about 1801) both born in Ireland. This couple is believed to be parents of Samuel Crawford, born 1834 in New York, and died 1891 in Tingley, Ringgold County, Iowa, and if this is correct, John and Mary (believed to be Mary Wallace) would be my gggrandparents. Could anyone help me in this search? Obits or any other information would be most helpful.
