Good morning,
Apparently this particular Hahn family isn't related directly to the ones in Davenport. Charles W. Hahyn (born Apr 1881 in Clinton, Iowa) is the son of Mantus Milton Hahn, born Sep 1854 in Moore, Northampton County, PA. His father was Simon Hahn b. 1822 of Northampton County, PA. Evidentially, they are descendants of Simon Hahn who emigrated to PA in 1776 from Bohemia.
All of their descendants would be in Missouri. :-( Sorry I can't be of more help, but it did help to sort out a few Hahn families in the Clinton area. :-)
Diana

Hi Diana,
Thank you so much for your reply re the Hahn families! My main interests in researching them is to make a connection with a direct descendant of Ethel (GREEN) Hahn who married Charles W. Hahn July 03, 1905 in Wood County, WI. Ethel was a daughter of Charles A. Green and Laura A. (PHILLIPS) Green.
In researching my PHILLIPS line, I found I am directly related to Ethel's mother, Laura. Over the years I have gathered a great number of records of her family > Civil War pension files of Ethel's grandfather, Norris N. Phillips (my gr-uncle) and a copy of a land patent of his in WI., signed by President Ulysses S. Grant on Oct 01, 1869! Also have a copy of her parents, Charles & Laura (Phillips) Green marriage record Sept. 07, 1881, obtained from the Wisconsin Historical Society.
I would love to pass on to Charles & Ethel Hahn's descendants all that I have compiled of their ancestors! I would appreciate it very much if you would inform me of the dates of Charles and Ethel's Hahn's deaths and any info you may have of their children, to include in my PHILLIPS Family Tree! Where did their daughter Carrie M. Hahn age 9 go that was in the 1920 Census when they lived in Lewis Co., MO - did she marry & have children?
I sure would be grateful for any info of her living family members I could contact for exchange of family history. Hopefully, I find one that is interested in their ancestry!
Regards,
Julia (Phillips) Lewis
a gr-grandma in Cincinnati, OH
