Maude B. Stafford was the daughter of Smith Stafford and Katherine Conover. I know this from my research in Minnesota and from other relatives on the Conover side.

Another research named Calvin Spading was the gentlemen who gave me the information that Maude Stafford married John Kress.
1920 census is the only census I have found with the family and children.

1910 and 1930 census I find John Kress though none in Davenport.

Bernice Kress I am only presuming since she is listed in Oakdale City Cemetery.

Thank you for the WWI information which cleared up John middle name and yes I also check the 1880 census.

Perhaps I should go another way in asking for an obit on Harold S. Kress who died July 20, 1992.

I also not John J. Kress is not mention in the listing for Oakdale City Cemetery?
