My Brook line moved into Van Buren around 1848 or so from Yorkshire, England.
After I had posted this, I found they had moved to Schuyler Co., Mo. in
the 1870's and then the majority of them moved to Oklahoma, so I doubt
if there is a connection. There were a few of them that we were unable
to locate after 1870 so I wouldn't say that it isn't impossible
tho. If you want, I can send you a report to see if anything strikes a
bell.

There were other Brook(s) in the same vicinity of VB at the
same time as mine. I have some census info on them as well. It seems they
were from Pennsylvania.

I will keep my eyes open.
