Thank you, but now there are a few more problems.

The 1880 census I cited shows George Newell as being 46 having been born in
Ohio, so that means he was born in abouut 1834.

He had a daughter named Jennie and the other children I mentioned, but this
might not be the same person.

Newell I believe is a rare name but there seems to have been a number of
them in Iowa.
