Thank you so much for your help. That "Fenis" kept me from finding him for
awhile. But finally realized that this was "Ferris." The Decolir you found is
Decolias Ferris, born in Michigan abt 1850-1852. I am not certain of his
mother either. I believe that his mother is the same as Sherman Z. Ferris, but
this is not a certainty. I found Decolias in the Federal Census for Kansas in
1880.......I knew that he was married to a Sarah, but thanks to you, I now
know her maiden name. Decolias is listed in the family Bible as "Coly."
